CAPSTONE captures images of Carroll Crater

This Mother’s Day week, Carroll Crater reminds us that legacies can reach all the way to the Moon. 🌙

During the historic Artemis II mission, our astronauts named a bright lunar crater “Carroll” in honor of Commander Reid Wiseman’s late wife, Carroll Taylor Wiseman. A mother, nurse, and beloved part of the Artemis family.

It is a our honor to share with you the pictures our engineers have gathered from CAPSTONE as it went by the crater. It really stands out!

This reminds us that behind every mission are the people we love, the people who support us, and the people we carry with us. A beautiful tribute during a week dedicated to celebrating mothers everywhere. 🌙💙
