Advanced Space Founders Bradley Cheetham and Jeff Parker Receive Associate Fellow Honor from American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)

Founders’ industry recognition highlights their commitment to developing innovative services that can improve the accessibility and sustainability of cislunar space.

WESTMINSTER, CO, 30 September 2026 – Advanced Space, a mission planning and operations company supporting the sustainable exploration, development, and settlement of space, announced today that our co-founders Bradley Cheetham, President & Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Jeffrey Parker, Chief Technology Officer, have been selected to be Associate Fellows of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

The AIAA Associate Fellow distinction recognizes aerospace professionals who have led important engineering or scientific work, produced original work of outstanding merit, or made exceptional contributions to aeronautics or astronautics. AIAA selects Associate Fellows from eligible Senior Members with substantial professional experience through a peer-nomination process.

Cheetham and Parker co-founded Advanced Space in 2011 with a shared vision of making cislunar space a sustainable and operationally accessible domain. Together, they have helped build Advanced Space into a trusted provider of mission design, navigation, and operations capabilities for civil, commercial, and national-security space missions.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized by AIAA alongside so many professionals whose work has shaped the aerospace field,” said Bradley Cheetham, President & CEO of Advanced Space. “This recognition reflects the vision, technical excellence, and persistence of the entire Advanced Space team. Our work is driven by a belief that cislunar space will be essential to humanity’s future in space, and we are proud to contribute the mission-planning and operational capabilities that help make that future possible.”

“AIAA has long been a home for the exchange of ideas that advance aerospace engineering and science,” said Dr. Jeffrey Parker, CTO of Advanced Space. “I am grateful for this honor and for the opportunity to work with exceptional colleagues across industry, government, and academia. At Advanced Space, we remain focused on translating rigorous astrodynamics and navigation expertise into practical capabilities that enable ambitious missions to succeed.”

The recognition underscores Advanced Space’s commitment to technical leadership in mission design and navigation, particularly in the increasingly complex cislunar environment. The company continues to develop and apply advanced capabilities that help customers plan, navigate, and operate missions beyond traditional Earth orbit.

AIAA is the world’s largest aerospace technical society, bringing together professionals from industry, government, and academia to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense.
